Description

This is a fascinating and unique fictional story about two faces of Australian culture.
It is also about two beautiful islands Fraser Island and Woody Island that meant so much to Traditional Owners.
Readers will meet Australian characters K’Gari and ¬†Kawalo who are indigenous sisters along with Palowarie an Aboriginal elder and many more. K’Gari was changed into Fraser Island and Kawalo was changed into a mythical sea creature. Kawalo had limited powers overall sea creatures.
Wangoolba is the last purebred dingo on Fraser Island . He falls deeply in love with Princess Kawalo and they get married. Did they live happily ever after? It’s in the book.

Illustrated by Artist Joan Grimes who lived at Central Station and edited by Robyn Covington. Highly recommended reading!
